HOW IT WORKS
Inspired by the iconic Soul Train, this competition celebrates culture, creativity, and the universal love for dance. Here’s how the competition unfolds:
1. City-by-City Competitions
Each city will host two spectacular dance competitions, bringing together 10 local contestants per show. That means 20 dancers per city will compete for a chance to represent their city in the grand finale.

- North America: New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Mexico City
- South America: Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Medellín
- Europe: London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Prague, Istanbul, Budapest
- Africa: Lagos, Accra *Detty December*
- Asia: Mumbai, New Delhi, Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong
- Australia: Sydney
- Oceania: Auckland
2. Weekly Competitions
Each week features a dazzling dance-off in a different city. Dancers are judged based on creativity, energy, and crowd appeal, with the live audience and online/mobile app voting deciding the winners.
Prize Structure for Each Show
- 1st Place: $2,000 + Automatic entry to the grand finale
- 2nd Place: $1,000
- 3rd Place: $500
- All Participants: Exclusive The New Boogie and sponsor swag
3. Audience Participation
The audience plays a crucial role in the participants success:
- Live Voting: The audience at each event votes in real-time.
- Participant selection: The only way to get selected to compete is also by audience participation. To get selected, competition hopefuls will have to upload a short video of them dancing to any social media platform with the hashtag #newboogiechallenge. The video with the most likes, comments and shares will automatically get selected. Meaning whatever the dance looks like, even the worm. As long as they have the most votes, they get selected.
- Mobile App & Website: Global fans can vote for their favorites through our dedicated app or website, ensuring inclusivity and global participation. Each participant can continue to receive votes for 6 days after they compete. Audience will have a chance to watch their favorite participants and vote if they missed the live show. Each vote during the live show is 3 points, every vote after the show ends counts as 1 point. With the winner announced 1 week later after all votes have been collected.
4. The Grand Finale
At the end of the 56-week tour, the winners from all 26 cities will gather for an epic grand finale. The event will be a celebration of the world’s best dancers, featuring cultural showcases, musical performances, and high-stakes competition.
Grand Finale Prizes
- 1st Place: A brand-new house in their city
- 2nd Place: A luxury vehicle + 1 year's rent in fully furnished home/apartment
- 3rd Place: A vehicle + cash prize
- All participants get exclusive gifts, prizes and sponsor swag
It is important to remember that this competition is not for professional dancers, but rather the everyday music and dance lover. As the audience gets to decide who the best dancer is and what the best dance is.
